Cabopino is the easternmost corner of the Marbella municipality: a small marina village wrapped around a boutique port, backed by pine-covered hills and fronted by one of the best-preserved beaches on the Costa del Sol. It sits between Marbella and Fuengirola, just off the A-7 coastal road, which makes it one of the most practical bases on the coast for buyers who want the Marbella address without the bustle of the town centre.
At Premiere Global Properties we help buyers find apartments, penthouses, townhouses and villas in Cabopino and the neighbouring Artola, Elviria and Calahonda areas, across every budget from €200,000 to €10 million. Below is our guide to the area, followed by our current Cabopino listings.
Why buy property in Cabopino
Cabopino appeals to a wide mix of buyers: families looking for a permanent home, retirees who want a quieter pace, golfers, sailors, and investors seeking a holiday home with year-round appeal. What they have in common is a wish for a relaxed, low-rise setting where the beach, the port and the golf course are all within walking distance.
- Location: on the A-7 between Marbella and Fuengirola, with Marbella centre around a 15-minute drive and Málaga airport roughly 40 km away.
- Lifestyle: a village atmosphere around the harbour, with restaurants along the quayside and far less through-traffic than Puerto Banús.
- Nature: a protected dune system and pine woodland right beside the beach.
- Choice: everything from compact holiday apartments to large frontline-golf homes and new-build developments.

Cabopino Port, beach and the Artola dunes
Cabopino Port (Puerto Deportivo de Cabopino) is a boutique marina of around 169 berths, taking boats up to 15 metres in length. It is a working harbour rather than a showpiece, with fuel, water and electricity at the berths, and a ring of restaurants and cafés that stay lively in summer and pleasantly calm in winter. For owners of cruising yachts and mid-size motorboats, a home within walking distance of the berth is a genuine advantage.
Next to the port lies Cabopino beach, a wide stretch of golden sand that has been awarded the Blue Flag, with sections designated as naturist beach. Behind it are the Dunas de Artola (Cabopino Dunes), a 19.27-hectare system of fossil and mobile dunes protected by the Junta de Andalucía as a Natural Monument since 2003. A boardwalk runs through the dunes, and the historic Torre de los Ladrones watchtower, a listed monument, stands within the protected area. Few places on the Marbella coast offer this kind of untouched coastal landscape on your doorstep.

Golf in Cabopino
Directly inland from the marina is Cabopino Golf, an 18-hole course of about 5,194 metres designed by Juan Ligués Creus. Wide-crowned pines, lakes and views of the Mediterranean and the mountains define the course, and its elevated 3rd hole is often described as one of the most beautiful on the Costa del Sol. A golf academy with a driving range and short-game area makes it suitable for beginners and experienced players alike. Several more courses lie within a short drive along the coast towards Marbella and Mijas, so golfers are well served.
Homes on or near the course, especially those with open golf and sea views, are among the most sought-after properties in the area.
